I can completely understand some classic players frustrations right now with not being able to form raids dgs etc. I think Blizzard should consider merging the servers instead of using cross realms. The difference between Cross Realms and Server Merging are huge. Cross Realms are one of the many things that turned me off retail WoW.

Players from different servers connecting to different layers phasing in and out of existence. It makes the game feel completely instanced based. Like im jumping from one instance to another… It dulls one big open world feeling. Not only does it break the one world immersion but it complicates and weakens the Server community.

Server Merging Now I know this idea might seem like a big change but if you consider the situation Classic WoW is in now this is the ultimate solution. Making the Servers merge into Classic servers would create a permeant community that will last for a long time, but would finish off the previous one established. Although one could argue that the community in Classic WoW has already been destroyed and split in two due to the launch of TBC.

I liked my Horde server : if it makes you feel better, the 10 people left in classic era means it wont matter anyway. It'd be nice if they would do this for some of the regular WoW servers. My server is pretty quiet and I tend to see more people from phased in realms than people from my realm group It's been fixed in the original thread on the forum now.
