The level range for the normal dungeon is The only achievements you can get in this dungeon are the ones for completing. There are no achievements awards for individual boss encounters for making him to do something.
Classic raids and dungeons only had one mode and that was normal. Heroic level versions of the dungeon started in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Starting in Cataclysm and onwards, Heroic level dungeons were introduced for the highest level.
The main anagonist race in this dungeon are Gnome. The dungeon contains 7 bosses. The end boss of Gnomeregan is Mekgineer Thermaplugg. Comment by sebbe Where is the entrance to Gnomeregan? Comment by One time when I was entering the tunnel at level 30, I saw the funniest thing. The corpse of a dwarf in low-level gear.
Looks like someone got a little too curious. Comment by Would it be possible to do large pulls in here? From what I've experienced is that some mobs mostly the mobs at the start of the instance will just reset aggro when you get too far. Comment by 2 Manable at level 35 just did it with a Resto Shammy me and my friend a Sub Rogue. Comment by me and my 4 lvl 30something friends rolled through this place as if it were a pumpkin patch.
Comment by soloable by priest above Comment by YuriElite Highly regarded as the worst instance ever, it's too spaced out, there are patrols everywhere and the mob numbers are too big.
Comment by Location is Dun Morogh 24, Comment by Gnomeregan national anthem: All hail Gnomeregan Your steel gears do grind true The gnomes in your halls brilliant all Always think things through They craft mighty weapons To combat the savage Horde They serve the Grand Alliance Their hands are never bored All hail Gnomeregan Your steam boils fierce and hot The Gnomes you hold dear can engineer While Goblins they can not Within the depths of Dun Morogh You, this valiant city stands The machines that lie within Are the greatest in all lands All hail Gnomeregan None surpass your might You will stand tall and never fall Never giving up the fight Gnomes though they are very wee Are taken by their technology From the highest sky to the deepest sea And can upgrade anything they see.
Gnomeregan we do indeed love thee. Comment by This is deffinatly not one of my favs. You get feign death at level 30 so you can snipe off non elites 1 at a time, and your pet can tank any elite or boss np. Theres also alot of evade spots. Also, you can skip almost the entire last tunnel before the final chamber, if you run along the wall on the right. For the final boss just pull him back, let your pet tank and snipe the bombs as they come.
Soloing instances is pretty fun, i remember ST was easy as a mage with imp blizzard, but the bosses were to much. I typed this up on a corpse run just before the final guy, and i wasn't in fact able to kill him, i had massive threat problems from mend pet alone, dunno if my owl was best suited. Also a beastmastery spec would be supperior so perhaps with that you could manage.
Comment by Here's a question for you all: Anyone knows what script I have to use to listen to the Gnomeregan theme anywhere I want? I really love it and I don't wanna go all the way to Gnomeregan to hear it. Comment by AzurePai A few days ago I did a solo run and encountered a bug concerning the entrance elevator: when it reaches the bottom it disappears then reappears when it goes back up.
To make matters worse you can't step back on the elevator, it will go through you and leave you at the bottom. I was still able to get a ride by continuously jumping on the spot as apparently the elevator spawns a feet or-so above the ground. I made a ticket about this and got a reply it's a known bug. Comment by Whiterea Something really funny to do in this instance is to enter by the workshop and stealth to the last boss if you can , or just kill the least mobs possible if you're a class who can't stealth.
Then you aggro one guy in the tunnel near the boss and run back to the beginning of the instance, and you're gonna have a legion of guys coming behind you a few moments later I did it with fan of knives on my rogue. Comment by Skelic Gnomeregan has a few static rare zone-drops. This is a list of all of them. Comment by SpitefulCrow I just tried to solo this as a 40 Hunter and it went well..
The mobs are no problem alone or in small groups. Once you get deep into the area you'll encounter one or two elites paired with maybe four or five regular mobs. Even at 40, having five or so of these little guys pound on you all at once really adds up and it can be hard to control so many foes. Trying to keep aggro on your pet can be rough since you'll need to cast Mend Pet at times and that will usually pull mobs to you. When you open it there will be four to six regular gnomes can't remember exactly how many and two elites.
One of them is one of those little Mechanostrider-bots, and the other is one of the anti-magic robots. So, I'd advise against soloing this at that level.
At least bring one partner, get all the quests you can, do this thing and then never ever look back. Although it would be really nice to see some 80's running people through this! Friends don't let friends run Gnomeregan. Comment by trondus Do you get reputation with Gnomeregan exiles when you go Gnomeregan?
Comment by ok, no one seems to be having this problem and i havent tried this but my bro syas that the door into the instance the door to the portal requires an acces card and he has killed of those guys but hasnt gotten it, any sugestions? Comment by JordanYehling Most annoying instance ever in my opinion. Comment by Holding on to your transporter thing from engineer scooty is advisable if you want to try killing Iron Forge faction leaders after you are Comment by minibeez1 This instance is kinda stupid.
Not because its long. Not because theres loads of mobs. Its because a city is ruled by a lvl 36 elite mob and even thought gnomes have loads of high lvls they cant take it back. Comment by Thottbot Dun Morogh 24, Comment by Thottbot from my understanding of the whole storly behind gnomeregan is that the gnomes where driven out of thier home by dirty big troggs or summin. Comment by Thottbot Allience quests are possible for levels 28 and further but do not excepect to finish the entire dungeon with a group that is five people lvl Horde quests are harder and are for level 30 and further and yes you can finish the dungeon with a group of 5 lvl 30's.
I hope i answered most of your queshtions i hope you enjoy reading this as much as enjoyed writing it Comment by Thottbot Everyone who said this instance is a waste of time is wrong. It's easy to solo with a 60, for plenty of profit. Iron ore is the best i've gotten. Just give th alarm bots a quick attack to silence them. Comment by Thottbot As a 60 Warrior, I have to disagree.
Not only is it quite manageable, solo, I was doing it at a much lower level. You won't see many 60's running, though, because most of them despise the instance and prefer to farm slightly higher instances, like Scarlet Monastery. The problem you're seeing with the massive crowd of mobs is caused by the alarmbots. No matter what level you are, what gear you're rolling with, or who you're fighting, you need to drop everything and hit the alarmbots when they start screaming.
If left alive long enough, they will draw the attention of more mobs than an entire group can handle. LEFT takes you to the Clockwork run side of gnomer. Comment by Thottbot I came in here with my friend for a run and my honest opinion is, having seen most of the dungeon content is that this instance blows. If you have the levels just hit Scarlet Monastery and give this one a miss. Better yet, spend the ' hours' you'll spend in here growing levels and then hit SM - it'll be a far better use of your time.
If you do insist on doing it, take a warlock who knows his way round soulstones because the run back is one of the worst I've had to do in a long time. Comment by Thottbot I never entered Gonomeregan before, except briefly with my Lv 12 Gnome Mage which never made it past the first corner. I went back with my Lv 39 Night Elf Rogue just to see what was in there. I needed some supplies for Alliance Commmendations and I was in that area and picked up a couple of quests for there I thought I'd pay a visit.
The dungeon is a bit confusing if you've never been through it before. I caught the elevator down and started exploring, mostly in stealth although that wasn't really necessary against the mid-level elites in the upper levels. I had two quests I received from the Gnomes in IF, one for the prismatic card and the other for essentioal artifacts.
I had no clue what or where they were but they turned out easy enough to get. In a desperate attempt to reclaim it, their ruler, by the advice of advisor Mekgineer Thermaplugg , detonated a radiation bomb in its halls to kill the troggs.
The city is currently a mid-level instance. The few gnomes still left in the city fight desperately to keep the troggs at bay. Gnomeregan is a unique instance in that it possesses an Alliance -friendly NPC section inside the dungeon itself, including vendors , guards, a repair station, some quests, and even a mailbox. The instance is also particularly notable for the [ Hydrocane ] which drops from an early mini-boss, Viscous Fallout. The staff allows permanent water breathing, and as such is often still carried and used situationally even by very high level characters.
The staff is thus beneficial to all character classes that are capable of equipping staff weapons. Nonetheless, Gnomeregan is often described as one of the most frustrating early instances by many players. Its long twisting layout makes it easy to get lost, aggro-pulling alarm sentries make already dicey pulls more difficult, and quests specific to the instance often require players to enter the instance more than once. The last tunnel, leading into the Tinkers' Court. When the war against the Burning Legion ended, the Alliance discovered the reason for the gnomes' sudden withdrawal.
Apparently, an ancient, barbaric menace had risen from the bowels of the earth and invaded Gnomeregan. Knowing that their allies' priority was defeating the Burning Legion, the gnomes decided to make their stand alone. Though they fought valiantly to save their beloved city, Gnomeregan was irrevocably lost. Engineers will likely be interested in this instance, as the large number of mechanicals means there is a chance of getting the [ Fused Wiring ] needed to make [ Goblin Jumper Cables ].
